Breaking: Apple Grants Tim Cook $47 Million in Executive Compensation

by admin477351

Tim Cook has transitioned from his role as Apple’s chief executive to become the company’s executive chair, securing a compensation package valued at approximately $47 million. This package comprises a $2 million base salary alongside $45 million in shares, with half of the stock award contingent on meeting performance targets, and the rest set to vest over four years.

With Cook stepping aside, John Ternus has taken over as CEO of Apple. Ternus, who previously served as Apple’s head of hardware engineering, will receive a base salary of $3 million and a $55 million stock award, where a larger portion of his compensation is linked to performance goals. As CEO, he will now oversee Apple’s product strategy and operations.

During Cook’s tenure as CEO, a position in which he earned more than $74 million in 2025, Apple’s market value witnessed significant growth, soaring to approximately $4.7 trillion. As the executive chair, Cook will now concentrate on external affairs, focusing on managing Apple’s relationships with governments, policymakers, and key international markets.

Cook’s move to executive chair and Ternus’s promotion to CEO mark a notable shift in Apple’s leadership team. While Cook will direct his efforts toward external partnerships and policy engagement, Ternus will drive the company’s innovation and product development, ensuring Apple’s continued influence and success in the global market.
